(formerly EDAFI) was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on March 10, 1981 to engage mainly "in the development, exploitation, and utilization of agricultural lands, timber and forest lands and lands of all kinds, for the purpose of producing agricultural crops, tree farming and industrial tree planting of both fruit-bearing and non-fruit bearing varieties for domestic consumption and export . . . . . . and to engage in the general agro-industrial and agro-forestry development".
